Supporting our Local Community
At NEIDA we are proud to be able to support both local families and charities through donations and fundraising.
In May we took part in the Douglas Macmillan duck race where our employees raised £100 for the sweepstake. This month we are pleased to be continuing our charity partnership with Douglas Macmillan by sponsoring a patient wardroom, Wedgewood.
Every year, Dougie Mac provides all hospice services free of charge to adults, young adults and children living with a life-limiting illness in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages; also offering supportive care for their families and carers.
“After many years of supporting Dougie Mac, NEIDA are proud to continue our charity partnership during 2021 through fundraising events and sponsorship of patient wardroom, Wedgewood. The hospice provides vital care for thousands of patients and their families, not only with medical care but also with compassionate and understanding emotional support. Dougie Mac is a charity close to the hearts of many of our employees, and we are delighted to help this fantastic cause in continuing its work.“
David Brown, NEIDA Managing Director
In July we also got involved in our local Foodbank, The Trussell Trust, by supporting the #21for2021 campaign by pledging £1,000, alongside our regular food donations to ensure continued support to those in our local community. We are also pleased to be a Ucan Foodbank Business Friend by being recognised as a silver level partner.
The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
From making donations to local charities to supporting our employees in their fundraising efforts, we are proud to support a number of local and nationwide charities that are close to the hearts of our customers, associates and colleagues.
