During Lockdown 1, 50% of people using Foodbanks had never used a food bank before. NEIDA are proud to be donating to the Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank #21for2021 campaign by pledging £1,000, alongside our regular food donations to ensure continued support to those in our local community.
In 2020, Covid-19 had both a social and economic impact on our local community and still is. The pandemic has caused job losses, reduced hours as well as delays in benefit payments. As a result, leaving thousands of people with not enough money for the very basics they require. Stoke-On-Trent Foodbank and its network of church-based food distribution centres work hard to meet the needs of those in food poverty.
From making donations to local charities to supporting our employees in their fundraising efforts, NEIDA are proud to support a number of local and nationwide charities that are close to the hearts of our customers, associates and colleagues.
