Potters ‘Arf Marathon 2021
NEIDA are proud to sponsor Finance Manager Sharon Brown, running 2021 Potters ‘Arf for leading, independent mental health charity North Staffs Mind.
The Potters ‘Arf Marathon 2021 included a 13.1 mile race, which individuals could run or walk. The marathon has huge mental and physical health benefits and the raising of thousands of pounds for local charities, with North Staffs Mind being the chosen charity.
North Staffs Mind is a leading, independent mental health charity that provides services and beyond in North Staffordshire, delivering a range of trusted, specialist support to thousands of people every year.
“The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact all our lives. Many of us are struggling with how it’s affecting ourselves and our loved ones. Those of us already living with mental health problems are facing extra challenges, too. During the first lockdown, we saw the closure of gym facilities and faced ongoing isolation, one of the few activities we were allowed to continue was running, jogging, and walking. Running gave me a release from all the craziness going on in the world and a focus. Running has helped me, and I am hoping my runs can help others; this is why I have chosen to run our local Potter’s Arf Marathon 2021 to support and raise money for North Staff Mind.“
