NEIDA has increased capacity with the addition of an Index CNC Multi-Spindle MS40-6 at our Stoke-On-Trent Head Office and Manufacturing Site.

This takes NEIDA’s Group total machine count to 115, on NEIDA’s 19 Multi-spindles increasing the diameter of parts NEIDA is able to produce on multi-spindle high productivity to 40mm.

With a diverse range of CNC, Multi-Spindle, and CAM machines, NEIDA’s UK manufacturing locations produce precision turned parts for various sectors, including Automotive, Access & Security, Medical, Electronics, and Interconnect.

NEIDA’s Multi-spindle Investment

The Index Machine MS40-6 is a six-spindle automatic lathe that is designed to deliver maximum productivity and precision. It is a highly advanced machine that can perform multiple tasks simultaneously, making it ideal for high-volume production runs. The machine is designed to provide exceptional accuracy, repeatability, and consistency, which makes it ideal for manufacturing high-quality components.

The Index MS40-6 is fitted with Polygon Turning Cycle, a tool which provides the ability to produce flats on components on the machine without the downtime required of stopping the spindle to mill a flat onto a component, creating a more efficient method of producing high-volume high-quality components.

NEIDA’s decision to invest in a larger-diameter CNC multi-spindle was driven by the need to increase our high-volume production up to 40mm diameter with the Index offering excellent stability and high-efficiency levels. The CNC multi-spindle machine was purchased to cope with increased demand as a result of newly won contracts.

What’s Next for NEIDA?

NEIDA has committed to spend a further £2.5 Million during 2023, with investment into machinery, inspection, and infrastructure to satisfy NEIDA’s growth plans.

Apprenticeships at NEIDA

Apprenticeships at NEIDA offer the opportunity to learn in a work-based environment for individuals wanting to gain hands-on experience and upskill in a sector of interest whilst earning a competitive salary supported by approved training providers. Alongside on-the-job training, apprentices are required to attend college once a week for classroom-based learning and complete formal assessments to obtain a nationally recognised qualification.

NEIDA offers Mechanical and Electrical Engineering apprenticeship schemes at our manufacturing sites in Stoke-on-Trent and the Isle-of-Wight.
