NEIDA Welcomes Business Administrator Apprentice at Stoke-on-Trent Head Office
After completing an A-level in Engineering, Amelia Reeves has enrolled on a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration at NEIDA.
Before starting the apprenticeship course, Amelia had previous experience in engineering, in which Amelia completed an A-level in engineering at The JCB Academy. Building upon Amelia’s qualifications in engineering and business, NEIDA was the perfect opportunity to allow Amelia to gain valuable experience and knowledge in the precision-turned parts industry through a 12-month to 18-month Level 3 Business Administrator Advanced apprenticeship standard delivered by Newcastle College.
Working mainly in the commercial office of NEIDA Products Engineering, Amelia will gain real experience in various roles, such as assisting with marketing with event planning, using mathematical and analytical skills to prepare reports and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in other departments such as Quality and Logistics.
Amelia will have opportunities at NEIDA to develop further skills through off-the-job training. As STEM ambassadors, it is important for our employees to be trained in delivering activities and attending in the local community to showcase engineering to the next generation to close the ever-increasing skills gap. First-aid training will be provided to enable Amelia to perform first-aid in the workplace.
“I chose an apprenticeship to gain the fundamental skills and knowledge to work in the business and engineering industry.”
Amelia Reeves, Business Administrator Apprentice
Apprenticeships at NEIDA offer the opportunity to learn in a work-based environment for individuals wanting to gain hands-on experience and upskill in a sector of interest whilst earning a competitive salary supported by approved training providers. Alongside on-the-job training, apprentices are required to attend college once a week for classroom-based learning and complete formal assessments to obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
NEIDA offers Mechanical and Electrical Engineering apprenticeship schemes at our manufacturing sites in Stoke-on-Trent and the Isle-of-Wight. This is our second Business Administration Apprenticeship collaboration.
