Membership of Make UK Defence connects NEIDA with a network dedicated to the UK defence SME supply chain and industry collaboration. It supports our ability to understand defence procurement structures, navigate complex supply chains and identify opportunities within the sector, enhancing the services we provide to organisations operating in defence and security environments.
This development builds on NEIDA’s recent JOSCAR accreditation, which independently verifies compliance with recognised aerospace, defence and security standards. Together, these milestones reinforce our commitment to high standards of governance, risk management and operational excellence.
By aligning with industry networks and standards frameworks, NEIDA strengthens its understanding of sector requirements and opportunities. This supports our ongoing focus on helping organisations achieve compliance and access opportunities in regulated and high-assurance markets.
JOSCAR accreditation builds on NEIDA’s existing management system certifications, including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Together, these certifications reinforce NEIDA’s commitment to quality, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.

Tom Farmiloe has successfully completed his Quality Pathway Apprenticeship at NEIDA, building on his prior engineering education. The program blended practical experience with off-the-job training, enhancing his technical skills and confidence through learning modern quality control methods and developing professional relationships.

During this year’s SID International Congress in Chicago, it was announced that David Brown, the current BTMA President and Director at NEIDA, will serve as the President of the Syndicat International du Décolletage (SID) from 2025 to 2027.
