Charity Contributions 2021
NEIDA and Employees have participated in many charity projects and events throughout 2021.
For all of us, the year 2021 has been another busy and trying one. NEIDA and its employees took part in a variety of projects and events in 2021. We are happy to support a number of local and national charities that are near to the hearts of our customers, associates, and colleagues, from making gifts to local charities to supporting our staff in their fundraising efforts.
Dougie Mac provides free hospice care to approximately 3,500 local people in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire, and the surrounding areas each year, as well as supportive care for their families and carers. Continuing our charity partnership with Dougie Mac in 2021, NEIDA sponsored a ward room, Wedgwood, for three years at the hospice. To ensure that whoever stays with Dougie Mac is treated with compassion and dignity in a comfortable, well-equipped room needed to provide expert care.
NEIDA and employees participated in sponsoring and fundraising for various events, from the annual golf day, where NEIDA had the pleasure of sponsoring a hole, to the all-important Duck Race, where NEIDA’s duck battled it out against 99 other ducks to be crowned the winner. However, NEIDA’s duck was unsuccessful this year, but our employees still had fun and raised £100 for the sweepstake. At Christmas time, £500 was donated to Dougie Mac to support the ‘Light up a Life’ campaign, supporting individuals to remember loved ones.
“After many years of supporting Dougie Mac, NEIDA are proud to continue our charity partnership during 2021 through fundraising events and sponsorship of patient wardroom, Wedgwood, The hospice provides vital care for thousands of patients and their families, not only with medical care but also with compassionate and understanding emotional support. Dougie Mac is a charity close to the hearts of many of our employees, and we are delighted to help this fantastic cause in continuing its work.“
